Something Worth Waiting For, Friko (7/10)
Friko released their sophomore album, "Something Worth Waiting For" on 4/24/26 w Ato Records. I'd been really excited about this release after getting back into Friko in February and really liking the single "Seven Degrees." I think ultimately, though, I'm a little disappointed. It's very possible that I return to this album and am like o I was stupid this is so good, and I hope that does happen, but it hasn't yet. When the vocals click for me, they really click and I think they're one of the most exciting young acts today, but sometimes when they don't click, I just can't get with it. There were less hits (for me) on this record than I'd hoped for, but again I'm holding out hope. Just haven't been returning to these songs as much as I expected to given how much I loved 2024's "Where we've been, Where we go from here." Fav tracks: Still Around, Seven Degrees, Still Around, Something Worth Waiting For
