Pin-Ups (EP), Devon Ross (9/10)
Ugh. I think Devon Ross is so cool and I really love her music/taste. It's been 2 years now since she released Oxford Gardens, and it's great to hear her again. On 3/6/26, she surprise released a 4 song EP of covers of Buddy Holly, Harry Nilsson, and Bob Dylan. It's raw and blown out and the covers are just really great - clearly putting her own spin and sound (electric guitar) on some real great classics. It sounds like she recorded the songs in a few takes, and I find that so refreshing given the over-produced landscape of indie rock right now. Really good stuff.
