Taking My Computer To Temporary Places, thanks for coming (6/10)
Rachel Brown drop Rachel Brown drop. As a WFYE superfan/big fan of all of the side projects, I've followed thanks for coming for quite a long time. Rachel released this collection of 10 ambient songs ostensibly written/produced in various locations w their computer on 2/20/26. I was slow to get to it because this week has been chaotic for me, but Mimi told me I should listen, so I finally got around to it yesterday. I was really surprised and impressed honestly. A lot of Rachel's solo albums are them singing raw kinda diy songs over guitar w sometimes drums and backup vocals etc, and I'd never really seen them flex their electronic songwriting like this. I'd always assumed Nate did most of the instrumental/electronic writing/production for WFYE, but I feel like this album really made me appreciate Rachel's sense of sound and beat and contributions to the WFYE project/past albums. I like the first song a lot. The rest I probably won't listen to again unless I'm in a particular mood maybe if I'm working, but I have a lot of respect for this project. Fav tracks: Airport, London
