Heaven 2, Lala Lala (7/10)

I've been a Lala Lala fan since probably 2019, so I was really psyched about getting a new album esp bc her last one was ambient in 2024 and this one feels a lot more like her old stuff. Lillie West dropped "Heaven 2" on 2/27/26 w Sub Pop, and I think it's a solid release. I'd really enjoyed the three singles "Even Mountains Erode," "Heaven2," and "Does This Go Faster?" and had listened to them a lot in January. I wasn't overwhelmed by the album as a whole/many of the songs besides the singles, but I think it's possible that they grow on me, and, even if they don't, I still think it's a good record. Good old synthy indie pop/rock and I've always loved her voice. Fav tracks: Even Mountains Erode, Heaven2, Does This Go Faster?
