Bleeds, Wednesday (8/10)

SO GOOOD!!!!! Wednesday released their latest album on 9/19/25 w Dead Oceans, first record post MJ/Karly breakup which seems to be one theme of the project among others. Had huge expectations after loving the singles, and I think I was even more impressed than I expected to be by the full LP. The songwriting and lyricism are so freaking good; I really love the lyrics on "Townies" specifically, and then the variation in genre is also exceptional w more emo/grungy stuff and then more folky stripped back acoustic stuff also. They are really paving their own little niche in the alt. indie post-country scene. I think Karly posted something about this album being the first where the band has really come into their own cohesive Wednesday sound, and I have to second that. Can't wait to see them live.
