Iris Silver Mist, Jenny Hval (6/10)

Jenny Hval released her latest album on 5/2/25 w 4AD. Been waffling between a 6 or a 7 for this one because I think the music is probably a 7, but I don't think I'm gonna come back to any of these songs after this review. Perhaps that's just because of my current mood/music taste, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I am who I am. Jenny is so talented and I've been a big fan forever. Love her experimentation and voice and unpredictability, but none of the songs on this album are any of my favorites of hers. I know Temperance really loved this album tho, so I would say if you are into her older stuff, or experimental somewhat ambient stuff, or Mitski (I feel like she reminds me of her sometimes in this album), maybe I'd give it a listen.
