1000 Variations on the Same Song, Frog (6/10)

Despite Mimi's obsession w Frog's 2019 album Count Bateman which I've been meaning to get to forever, this is my first full Frog album listen. The indie rock duo released their latest album on 2/14/25, and I definitely understand the hype Mimo's been spouting for a while. A lot stranger than I expected, for me kinda felt like Animal Collective meets Alex G. I'm not sure if that's what all of their stuff sounds like, but at least this album felt that way. I'm all for strangeness, so that made me immediately here for it. For the same reason, some folks won't like the sound, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
