Renny Conti, Renny Conti (6/10)
Brooklyn indie folk rocker Renny Conti released his self-titled LP on 1/17/25. I'd listened to some of his stuff before but wasn't really wowed by any of it, but I was impressed with this record! There's a few songs that have been on repeat for me since first hearing it. Bella described the sound as in the realm of Buck Meek or Darryl Rahn, which I thought was pretty apt. He has a certain way with the sonics of lyrics that I really like and that make them really pleasing/catchy and also playful (can't get the chorus of "Formspring" out of my head). Don't love everything on here, but a very solid album nonetheless. Fav tracks: Workhorse, Looking at the Geese, Formspring
