My Light, My Destroyer, Cassandra Jenkins (6/10)

Cassandra Jenkins released her third album and first w Dead Ocean on 7/12/24. I've always liked her but not loved her, and that was similar here. A diverse album of straight up indie rock, talky experimental recordings, indie pop, plus some jazzy elements. This is probably my biases speaking, but I just really love her when she shreds on the guitar (which she really can do), which I wish happened more on this album. If you're a fan of her previous stuff, I def think you'll enjoy this. And if your taste bends more indie pop, you might like it too. Fav tracks: Clams Casino, Aurora, IL, Petco
