Hot Cool Shroud (EP), Wilco (8/10)

What the hell. I didn't listen to this EP tho I've had it saved on my Spotify for the last month bc I haven't loved the recent Wilco releases, but it is so good!!! Mad at myself. Released 6/28/24 w dBpm Records. I just felt like Wilco was starting to get boring, but I really love almost every song on this 6 track 17 minute EP. Gets more guitar-shreddy than they have been I feel like. Interesting music not boring at all. Starts off with two absolute shredders and then you get some softer slower sweeter songs too (altho I have some minor quips w the lyrics in "Ice Cream"). Wow. Really surprised and awed by this one. Wilco is back. Fav tracks: Hot Sun, Livid, Annihilation
