Box for Buddy, Box for Star, This is Lorelei (7/10)

This is Lorelei's debut on Double Double Whammy!! I've been following Nate Amos' solo work as "This is Lorelei" for a few years now and have become a big fan, so I was really hyped for the first official album (tho he's been self-releasing albums since 2014) which has gotten some great press. The single he released, "Where's Your Love Now" also has to be one of my top 5 songs of 2024. Album did not disappoint. Such a fun blend of wry and gutting lyricism, synthy pop parts, and folky guitar. Don't love every song but love a lot of them!! <3 <3 <3 Unlike anyone else out there.
