Bright Future, Adrienne Lenker (8/10)

Adrienne Lenker dropped her most recent solo album today (3/22/24) w 4AD. Ok as much as I want to be a hater bc she was way too pro-israel for a while, I don't know if you can argue w the fact that she is one of the top lyricists/songwriters living today. When "Sadness as a Gift" released, I was like :O Lenker did not come to mess around. On my first listen through I was probs gonna give it a 7 but I thought that might change and now on the second listen thru I've upped it to an 8. Zamn. Kinda disappointed it's so high.
