Walls Have Ears, Sonic Youth (6/10)

38 years after its initial bootleg release, Sonic Youth has released this storied album pulled from three 1985 UK shows. It's got a lot of songs already recorded and released in Sonic Youth's early projects, which is the main reason for the lower score for me. That said, there's some great renditions of those songs -- particularly Death Valley '69. But early SY can be a bit too discordant for casual listening for me, which is also why I'm giving it a 6.
