Pink Friday 2, Nicki Minaj (6/10)

Nicki released her first album in 5 years on Friday (12/8/23) w Republic Records. It's a 22-song, 1hr 10 minute album. There's some wild samples in here starting w the opener which samples Billie Eilish, then you've also got samples from Cyndi Lauper, Blondie, among others. Pitchfork says that this might betray something about Nicki's own belief in her capacity to get chart toppers on her own, which I kind of agree w. Idk she's such a great rapper. And these can def be distracting. But some of them are some of my favs lol. Lots of misses but a few hits here which are bops. Still fun to listen to. She's so silly. <3 luv her.
