Back to Moon Beach, Kurt Vile (6/10)

On 11/17/23, Kurt Vile dropped this very interesting new record w Verve Records. It's 9 songs and 52 minutes, so some pretty lengthy songs. It's funny listening to this right after the MJ Lenderman record cuz I feel like they do some similar things. The guitar is so great but his lyrics are so random. And more than random sometimes they kinda annoyed me here. Like lyrics a guy would write while really stoned. And a random santa song. But then sometimes devastating. So idk. Some songs I liked a lot and some I disliked a lot. But dislike mostly because of the lyrics and length of the songs (some). Guitar is, once again, excellent.
