And the Wind (Live and Loose!), MJ Lenderman (7/10)

Today (11/17/23), MJ released a live album w Anti of lots of songs from his last album (boat songs) and some old favs as well. It's a great compilation, both in terms of the songs he chose and his live jammy performances where you get to hear him shred even more than the originals. A lot of them sound pretty similar to the originals, but there is that grungier feel to them being lives and then some he goes off for sure. Have really converted into an MJ fan over the last few weeks, and this album is a testament to his weird but also devastating lyricism and guitar chops. A very solid album.
