Tracey Denim, bar italia (6/10)

bar italia released their latest album on 5/19/23 w matador. They are a cool mysterious post-punk group from London. I was pretty excited for this release after liking the singles a decent amount, specifically "Nurse!" I was oscillating between giving this album a 6 and a 7. The instrumentation is really great - guitars, drums, and bass all sooo dope in various moments, but I just don't like the vocals enough ultimately to get it up to that 7. Still -- there's some really great stuff here and if you're into postpunk or kind of grungey alt. rock, I'd def give it a listen (maybe fans of Fontaines DC?).
