KAYTRAMINE, Kaytranada + Aminé (5/10)

There was so much hype around this collaborative album from Kaytranada and Aminé, which was another 5/19/23 drop. I like Kaytranada's beats/instrumentation and a lot of Aminé's playful rap, so I was pretty excited for this too but honestly it was just okay. It's not bad and if u put it on at a pool party or a smoke sesh, no one's gonna complain, but there's nothing really novel or exciting happening here in my opinion. Sad cuz I think both artists are some of the most innovative in the rap/rnb/house game rn, but 🤷 whatcha gonna do. A disappointment for me. Favorite tracks: 4EVA, Sossaup
