Drop Cherries, Billie Marten (6/10)

New album from Billie Marten dropped 4/7/23 w A Fiction Records. Billie Marten is a singer-songwriter who makes kinda indie folk stuff. I've liked her for a while and she has some banger songs. This album is pretty similar to her prior stuff. There's one song I just love, but the rest kind of blend together in the way that indie folk sometimes can be conducive to, especially when it's mostly guitar and vocals. I like the opening song which is more ambient but the rest weren't very distinctive to me. Still very pleasant to listen to and, if you're a fan of this genre (kind of Leith Ross, Fenne Lily adjacent), then I'd definitely recommend a listen. :P Favorite tracks: I Can't Get My Head Around You, Willow, New Idea
