Crest, Bladee + Ecco2k (5/10)

Ok I finally decided to see what Drain Gang was all about. I do not totally see the hype yet. For some reason, I thought they were more hyperpop when they are more lofi experimental techno pop. I prefer my techno a bit more upbeat and dancey, though. I see why some people really fuck w this, but don't entirely see why Drainers are everywhere. I mean I definitely feel like this type of music (I think Mgna Crrrta does it more successfully for me) scratches an itch in my brain/manifests the innards of a kind of gen z brain. But I definitely prefer some other bands in the genre. Came out on 3/18/22. Favorite tracks: White Meadow, Desire is a Trap, Girls Just Want to Have Fun
