Makes Me Sick Makes Me Smile, Pretty Sick (5/10)

I had one liked song but hadn't really heard of Pretty Sick before listening to this album, but I saw Pitchfork describe it as a mix of Nirvana, Hole, and the Breeders, which sounded appealing to me. The third studio album of Sabrina Fuentes, "Makes Me Sick Makes Me Smile," came out on 9/30/22 from Dirty Hit. The Nirvana/Hole/Breeders description is pretty accurate, and while I like those bands, I didn't feel like this album was adding/doing anything novel. Since I like that genre of kind of grungy alt rock, I found the album relatively pleasant and fun to listen to, but wasn't wowed by many of the songs individually. Was just okay of an album for me.
