SPARK, Whitney (4/10)

Another new album today (9/16/22) that I didn't love lol. On a bunch of different reviews, Whitney talks about how this album is a real step up from their past stuff and also a pretty new sound. I didn't think the sound was actually that new: a little less folky for sure and a little more jazzy and poppy, but overall I feel like it's not a huge departure. My main thing w Whitney is just that their vocals are so distinct and I like them on a song every while, but I don't really like listening to them on every song of an album. Was just meh about this album. Favorite tracks: NOTHING REMAINS, MEMORY
