Power Corruption and Lies (2015 Remaster), New Order (7/10)
Today is Syd New Order Day I guess. New Order's second studio album came out in 1983. It opens with "Age of Consent," one of the most recognizable/famous New Order songs, and the rest of the album has a very similar feel. Definitely sounds a lot more like what I associate with New Order than Movement does; it's very good, but after being so excited about how rock-y Movement was, I'm a bit disappointed by how much less rock-y this album is. But this is classic New Order stuff for sure. Favorite tracks: Age of Consent, 5 8 6, Your Silent Face
