Weather Alive, Beth Orton (8/10)

This is the title track off of Beth Orton's newest album (coming out in September). It's a very beautiful 7 minute composition of her vocals over some great guitar and drums and xylophones and other sounds I can't pick out. It's slow. The refrain is gorgeous: "It almost makes me wanna cry / The weather's so beautiful outside," and I also like it when she's almost talking rather than singing at parts. Feels very earthy and calming and just generally really nice. Excited for the album.
