Underwater, Sun's Signature (10/10)

Sun's Signature is a new side project of Cocteau Twin's Elizabeth Fraser and her partner, Damon Reece. "Underwater" is the second single out from the project's self-titled EP which is out in June. I didn't have the highest expectations because I didn't really fuck with the first single that was dropped, but this song is so fucking good!!!!!!! While the first single paired Fraser's voice with a kind of Laurie Anderson experimentalism that didn't really work for me, this one works phenomenally well because those two aspects are paired over a sickass drum line that ties the whole thing together and makes it pleasant to listen to while still bringing out the dopiness of Laurie Anderson esque experimentalism. Exceptional work and I'm so psyched that Fraser is continuing to put out music???!! :o excited for the ep
