Udhero Na, Arooj Aftab feat.. Anoushka Shankar (10/10)

Holy fuck. This song is so fucking good. Arooj Aftab is a musical genius. Her voice is so so just rich and complex and emotive. The sitar by Anoushka Shankar (daughter of Ravi Shankar) and harp from Maeve Gilchrist are stunning overlaid with Aftab's poetic lyrics and voice. This song could make me cry. It's Aftab at her absolute best - and she is so fucking talented so that means a lot. She released the song with the announcement of a double LP deluxe edition of her album Vulture Prince (which was so fucking good too). So excited for the drop which is 6/24/22.
