The Lightning I, II, Arcade Fire (5/10)

I like Arcade Fire a lot. Many high school memories to arcade fire -- they are definitely a staple of indie rock from the early 2000's (specifically 'Funeral'). Last year, they also released an original score, but other than that, they haven't put out an album since 2017. These two singles that they just dropped (Lightning I, Lightning II) were very arcade fire I don't know how else to put it. They sound good. They sound like themselves. But idk it just was nothing special for me. Upon second listen, it is growing on me a bit - but idk. I think at their best, they elicit a sense of urgency that resonated for me a lot as an angsty teen - but I don't get that from these tracks.
