9million, 9million (8/10)
9million released their excellent sophomore album on 8/12/25 in what is about to be a mind-blowing month for all the alt/indie musicheads out there. Someone on Reddit wrote this: Listened to this twice today and been digging i t. Sorta like if Wishy leaned into their heavier, grungier side more. Very early Pumpkins-influenced. (@crowlfish) and I think that's pretty accurate. Although I didn't love every song, I'd say the album definitely exceeded my expectations, landing on an extended 8 minute version of the single "Creation" that I loved earlier in the year. Got a few ambient tracks in there too. Good stuff. I always feel like when a band does a self-titled album, it should be them at their best, and I'd say this impresses me sufficiently. Fav tracks: Creation, Shine On, Occam's Razor
