Sharon Van Etten & The Attachment Theory, Sharon Van Etten (5/10)

Sharon Van Etten takes a funkier and more synth-driven approach on her latest album, "Sharon Van Etten & The Attachment Theory," released 2/7/25 w Jagjaguwar and recommended to me by Kirk Cooper. The music is good, so a 5 is maybe objectively low, but I just don't find myself connecting with it that much. Kinda sounding a little like Florence + The Machine here (which I do enjoy). While the music is good, it just feels like the audience should be moms and dads at Bottlerock and that alienates me a little. Or maybe that's just my taste/age showing.
